Iraq rice tender raises questions

Iraqi Grain Board pays $1.4m more to buy rice from Brazil and Uruguay instead of accepting lower U.S. bid.

A RECENT decision by the Iraqi Grain Board (IGB) to decline a competitive bid from the U.S. for a rice tender has caused concern and distrust in the U.S. rice industry and its legislative representatives.
