InVivo expands presence in Mexico

France-based InVivo Animal Nutrition & Health has acquired Mexico-based premix company Vipresa.

InVivo Animal Nutrition & Health announced July 17 its acquisition of Vipresa, a premix company based in Mexico.

InVivo, which has a turnover of $1.9 billion, a presence in 18 countries and 5,600 employees, said it is continuing to strengthen its international market positions in key growth areas. As such, Latin America continues to stand as a priority investment area.

InVivo has been present in Mexico since its 2008 addition of Malta Cleyton.

Located in Jalisco state, Vipresa, which employs 85 people, sells vitamin premixes, trace elements and feed additives as well as special feed. The company also distributes raw materials and amino acids. Its range of services is mainly intended for feed manufacturers and on-farm feed manufacturers, InVivo explained.

Vipresa has market positions within major ruminant, pork, and poultry producing regions in Mexico.

France-based InVivo is active in five activities: compound feed, premix, feed additives, analysis laboratories and animal health.
