IN the most sweeping overhaul of food safety regulations in more than 70 years, the Food & Drug Administration released two of the seven final rules that are designed to increase food safety based on preventative measures and good manufacturing practices.
On Sept. 10, the agency published in the Federal Register the "Preventive Controls for Human Food" rule and the "Preventive Controls for Animal Food" rule of the Food Safety Mode
