House passes bill to stop water rule

Bill would require EPA and Corps to work with stakeholders on clarifying Clean Water Act.

THE House took significant action to stop the Environmental Protection Agency from moving forward on its waters of the U.S. rule with last Tuesday's passage of the Regulatory Integrity Protection Act by a vote of 261-156.

The bill would require EPA to withdraw its proposed water rule, which is expected to be issued soon.
