House easily blocks EPA water rule

UPON their return to Capitol Hill, House lawmakers approved legislation to halt the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers from finalizing and enforcing their proposed rule that would redefine "waters of the U.S." (WOTUS) under the Clean Water Act.

The House voted 262-152 to approve the measure addressing the WOTUS rule, which has become a common theme of concern in the countryside.
