Hormel sued over its 'natural' claims

Lawsuit alleges Hormel is violating the D.C. Consumer Protection Procedures Act.

The Animal Legal Defense Fund, Public Justice, and the Richman Law Group filed a joint lawsuit in the District of Columbia Superior Court against Hormel Foods, alleging the company is misleading consumers through the advertising of its Natural Choice brand of lunch meats and bacon.

A statement from Hormel said the company is “confident that this lawsuit is without merit.”
