High Plains Bioenergy acquires biodiesel plant

Acquired plant in St. Joseph to produce 28 million gal. annually.

High Plains Bioenergy (HPB), a subsidiary of Seaboard Foods, announced plans Sept. 15 to increase its biodiesel production through the recent acquisition of a plant in St. Joseph, Mo.

Operating as HPB–St. Joe Biodiesel, the plant will use regionally sourced feedstocks and will focus on lower cloud point specifications.
