Henningsen Cold Storage to build $27m facility

New facility part of four-phase development plan to serve as innovative hub of activity for food processors.

Henningsen Cold Storage Co. is building a new 166,000 sq. ft. cold storage facility in Salem, Ore. The company executed a purchase and sale agreement with the Oregon Department of Administrative Services in July and anticipates beginning site preparation on a 34-acre parcel in the central portion of the Mill Creek Corporate Center campus.

The company said it expects the project to cost approximately $27 million and added that it is the first of an anticipated four-phase development
