Fire destroys grain elevator in North Dakota

Extensive damage expected to cost millions of dollars.

A complete loss is expected after three fire crews battled a blaze June 22 at Equity Co-op Elevator located in Sheyenne, N.D.

According to WDAY/WDAZ TV, the fire was reported at around 9 p.m. that evening, but crews worked through the night. Fritz Wetzel with Equity Coop Elevator said dust and stores of grain likely contributed to the fire's intensity.

Fire officials have said it's too soon to determine a cause, but no injuries were reported.
