Feed grains offer brighter picture as corn exports struggle

U.S. Grains Council expects total U.S. exports of feed grains in all forms to be in range of 93-96 million tons this year.

U.S. exports of feed grains in all forms for September through March of this marketing year totaled 51.4 million metric tons, down 7% from the same period last marketing year. However, higher exports of dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS), corn gluten feed, corn gluten meal, sorghum and pork worked to offset weaker exports of corn, barley, beef, poultry and ethanol, according to newly released numbers by the U.S. Census Bureau.
