Farmers expect record crop yields, survey confirms

Crop prices expected to continue declining if record harvest yields obtained.

CONFIRMING predictions, farmers are, in fact, gearing up to harvest record corn and soybean crops this fall if weather continues to cooperate through the conclusion of the growing season, according to results of the latest Farm Futures survey.

The survey results revealed that corn production could hit 14.331 billion bu. this fall, nearly 3% more than the 2013 harvest. Farm Futures said average yields of a record 171.06 bu. per acre ap
