Farm profitability to soften in 2014
NET farm income is forecasted to be $96.9 billion in 2014, down more than 21% from the 2013 estimate of $122.8 billion (Figure), according to newly released data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service (ERS).
