EPA delays final RFS decision

Ag industry remains mixed on need for RFS and how it should be implemented moving forward.

THE Environmental Protection Agency said Nov. 21 it will not be finalizing 2014 renewable fuel standard (RFS) requirements before the end of 2014.

EPA had published a notice of proposed rule-making on Nov. 29, 2013, to establish the 2014 RFS standards.

EPA said due to the delay in finalizing the standards for 2014, and given ongoing consideration of the issues presented by commenters, the agency intends to take action on the
