Elanco advances antibiotic stewardship plan

Progress made on eight-point plan to help safeguard animal and human health, and pipeline of alternatives to shared-class antibiotics created.

Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly & Co., has reported on scientific and structural advancements made toward enhancing responsible antibiotic use and finding new alternatives to decrease the need for shared-class antibiotics in livestock.

In an update tracking the progress of its "Eight-Point Antibiotic Stewardship Plan" unveiled last year, Elanco announced the following actions:
