A new report from the American Egg Board pointed out that eggs yield the most protein per dollar among several protein options

A RECENT report from the American Egg Board pointed out that eggs yield the most protein per dollar among several protein options. Eggs have 40 g of protein per dollar, compared with lean ground beef at 19 g per dollar spent (Table).

The United Egg Producers noted that eggs are also ranked fairly low in terms of calories per serving, with 72 kcal, compared with ground beef at 150 kcal per serving.
