DOJ, FTC urged to collaborate on review of proposed mergers

Sen. Grassley asks for collaboration on proposed mergers of ChemChina with Syngenta and Dow with DuPont.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is urging the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to collaborate where appropriate as the agencies analyze several proposed mergers in the seed and chemical industry. Grassley also asked the two agencies to seek input from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
