Dannon's non-GMO path a 'tipping point'

THE dairy industry knows all too well what happens when consumer confusion or pressure leads to unnecessary supply chain changes. Just look at what happened with recombinant bovine somatotropin.

Now, another change could be on the way as The Dannon Co. announced in April its move to require the feed for dairy cows making milk for many of its major brands to contain no genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
