Crops higher amid rain-heavy forecasts: Podcast

Short covering and expected harvest delays lift crop prices.

Corn and soybean futures were higher near midday Friday as recent rain in the Midwest and forecasts for more in the upcoming week have raised concerns about harvest delays.

Short covering also may be in play as corn, soybeans and wheat all entered Friday’s trading lower for the week.
