CROP PROGRESS: Corn holds at 75% good/excellent; soybeans improve

Winter wheat is 11% harvested, with Kansas at 5%, according to USDA.

Corn’s condition stayed at 75% good to excellent in the latest week, but the excellent portion went to 15% from 14% and good slipped one to 60%, USDA said on Monday.

Soybeans improved 2 points to 74% good to excellent, which topped the year-ago reading of 67%.

Farm Futures calculated the mild improvement in corn added 0.4 bu. per acre on yield potential for a national average of 172.4
