Crop outlook a broken record

Large supply and strong demand for crops expected to continue in 2015-16.

IT'S a new crop year, but it's the same old crop story, agricultural economist Chad Hart said in the March edition of Iowa State University's "Iowa Farm Outlook."

Demand is good, but supplies are ample, he said, adding that stocks have grown and prices remain low.

"That said, some of the numbers are beginning to move in the right direction," Hart said.
