Researchers discover common factors among consumers with food ingredient fears.

ALMOST daily, one can find headlines on blogs and other webpages claiming: "Ingredient X is harmful to your health."

Such warnings can scare people into avoiding ingredients without actually knowing the facts, according to Dr. Brian Wansink with Cornell University's Food & Brand Lab.
