Corn, soybean crops heading straight for goal

Commodity markets receive some support despite excellent new-crop conditions.

CROP tours have commenced across the Midwest, with preliminary reports confirming that the U.S. may, in fact, be headed for record 2014-15 crops, as predicted.

While heavy rains in June created concerns about crop losses, damage was reported as minimal, and the latest National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration "U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook" showed that drought conditions are subsiding in some areas.
