Retroactive COOL retaliation could reach $10b as Canada and Mexico prepare lists and gear up to apply pressure.

ON June 17, the World Trade Organization held a meeting to hear formal requests from Mexico and Canada to retaliate against the U.S. for its country-of-origin labeling (COOL) law.

In recent weeks, Canada has reported that it will request sanctions of up to $2.4 billion (U.S.), and Mexico updated its level to $713 million.
