British EU vote weighs on markets, including crops: Podcast

Rain, cool weather mild weather headed for Midwest.

Crop and equity markets were mostly lower Thursday, with soybeans posting double-digit losses, amid investor nervousness ahead of Britain’s vote next week on whether to stay in the EU. The latest polls show Britains want to leave the bloc, a move experts say could create economic instability.

Also weighing on crops were new forecasts showing beneficial rain and mild temperatures next week in the Midwest.
