THE use of antibiotics in food animals will be the next big consumer issue, Dr. Ron Prestage, president-elect of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), told the National Pork Forum in San Antonio, Texas.
"I see that as one of the biggest challenges we will have to deal with: how to appropriately protect and use antibiotics in a way that is not a threat to human health but also preserves our ability to ethically care for the animals," Prestage
