Agrium, PotashCorp confirm merger discussions

Merged crop nutrient companies would represent a value of nearly $30 billion.

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp), the world’s largest crop nutrient company, and Agrium Inc. confirmed Aug. 30 that they are in preliminary discussions regarding a potential merger of equals. Combined, the companies would represent a value of nearly $30 billion.
