ADM posts Q3 profits despite challenging first half

Company positioned well for solid finish to 2016.

Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) reported on Nov. 1 its financial results for third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2016. Net income was $341 million, or 58 cents per share, an increase from $252 million during the same period last year. Net revenues fell 4.5% to $15.832 billion, down from from $16.565 billion during the same period last year.
