AB Neo launches products for U.S. dairy market

Two innovative dairy products from AB Neo for boosting lifetime performance of cows launched in the U.S.

AB Neo, a division of AB Agri Ltd., is a business that focuses on working with the neonate (baby animal) and maternal stages to switch on lifetime performance in farm animals.

AB Neo is launching two new products to the U.S. dairy market after they were developed and perfected in Europe.

Axcelera-C is the world's first accelerator for cows, switching on lifetime performance. Axcelera-C harnesses a high lactose (40%) pellet technology that is manufactured using the Neo-tec system to produce a highly palatable solid diet. Axcelera-C has already accelerated more than 1 million calves in Europe.

Axcelera-C is readily consumed by calves from day 4 up to weaning, accelerating calf performance and rumen development. Farmers are seeing accelerated growth, earlier weaning and a reduction in nutritional scours. Being a solid, unlike liquid milk, Axcelera-C enters and is digested in the rumen from four days of age. It is used alongside liquid milk, equipping calves with more energy, earlier, enabling them to partition it towards their limiting factors.

OptiPartum-C is offered to fresh cows to unlock the true performance of their ration. This means farmers can save money by cutting fats usage by 50% and adding OptiPartum-C, with the same or improved milk yield and constituents.

OptiPartum-C is a blend of unique bioactive substances that release more energy from starch and fibre in their diet, as well as novel ingredients that improve the palatability of the ration to encourage increased intakes. Besides saving money, trials and on-farm experience shows an improvement in post-partum bodyweight (with the associated fertility improvements) and a reduction in ketosis.
