INSIDE WASHINGTON: Trump uses death tax to highlight need for tax reform

Eliminating death tax is rallying cry for those in agriculture, and Trump knows it.

While speaking in North Dakota Wednesday, President Donald Trump garnered applause from the crowd when he said he’d protect small businesses and family farmers by ending the death tax, which he stated is a “tremendous burden” for families today.

Trump pointed to Julie Ellingson, a fourth-generation cattle rancher and a mother of five from Bismarck, N.D., who was on hand for his speech.
