LOUIS DREYFUS CO. B.V., Rotterdam, Netherlands — Adrian Isman has been named senior head of grains and value chain platforms. Isman also will retain his responsibility as head of North America.

Murilo Parada has been named head of the juice platform at a global level. Parada will also retain his responsibility as head of the north Latin America region.

 

BJM PUMPS, Old Saybrook, Conn. — Ted Owen has joined the company as applications engineer.

 

ARCHER DANIELS MIDLAND CO., Chicago, Ill. — Rachel D. Hudson has been appointed vice president and treasurer. Hudson will oversee all treasury activities globally, including funding and capital markets, currency risk management and worldwide banking activities. She also will continue to serve as chief financial officer of the Corn division. She was most recently CFO of the South American businesses.

 

BJM PUMPS, Old Saybrook, Conn. — Laura Flores has joined the company as accounting assistant.

Dan Scozzaro has joined the company as pump technician.

 

KENT NUTRITION GROUP INC., Muscatine, Iowa — Aimee Herling has been promoted to distribution coordinator (East). Herling will be responsible for optimizing daily load planning at the four eastern manufacturing facilities, providing a complete review and analysis of the current dealer freight rate policy, managing bulk rates and zones and optimizing routes to customers while strategically reducing freight subsidies.

Stephen Payne has joined the company as fulfillment supervisor in new Kent Fulfillment Center. Payne will be responsible for all services associated with operating the fulfillment center, including facility maintenance and operations, receiving materials, inventory management, dealer list management, ordering, shipping and working with Grain Processing Corp. and Kent Pet Group, as needed. He was previously with Arconic Davenport Works.

 

OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, Columbus, Ohio — John Foltz has been appointed chair of the department of animal sciences within the College of Food, Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, effective Oct. 9. Foltz will lead the development of strategic plans, including faculty and facility development, and will provide leadership for the department. He is currently with the University of Idaho.

 

DIAMOND V, Cedar Rapids, Iowa — Dr. Todd Birkle has joined the Ruminant Team as ruminant field technical specialist for the eastern U.S. Birkle will help transfer knowledge on production analysis, risk assessment and product expertise. He was previously with Zoetis.

Jamie Hinck has joined the Ruminant Team as district sales manager for the eastern U.S. Hinck was previously with Zoetis.

 

UNITED SOYBEAN BOARD, St. Louis, Mo. — Polly Ruhland has been named chief executive officer, effective Nov. 1. Ruhland is currently CEO of the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion & Research Board.

 

EW NUTRITION, Des Moines, Iowa — Lori Martindale has joined the company as customer satisfaction representative. Martindale will be responsible for day-to-day contact with the customer base regarding orders, production schedules, logistics and all other customer service duties, as necessary. She also will work in the laboratory.

Vicki Skou has joined the company as senior accounting specialist. Skou will be responsible for day-to-day financial accounting.

 

AMERICAN FEED INDUSTRY ASSN., Arlington, Va. — Dr. Paul Davis has joined the association as director of quality, animal food safety and education. Davis will oversee the Safe Feed/Safe Food certification programs as well as the education and training courses designed to enhance the industry's ability to produce feed efficiently and safely. He will also work closely with the legislative and regulatory team on issues related to the Food Safety Modernization Act and serve as staff contact for the Quality Committee. He was previously with the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative.

 

ANPARIO PLC, Nottinghamshire, U.K. — Edward Seed has been appointed general manager for USA. Seed was previously with Pharmgate Animal Health.

 

ARYSTA LIFESCIENCE NORTH AMERICA, Cary, N.C. — Andrew Easton has joined the U.S. sales team as territory sales manager — northern Plains. Easton will provide agronomic expertise to customers and growers throughout the Plains. He was previously with Syngenta.

Jill Herold has joined the U.S. sales team as technical sales specialist. Herold will provide agronomic expertise to customers and growers throughout the Plains. She was previously with AgroEngineering Inc. and Syngenta.

 

IMMUCELL, Portland, Maine — Kathy Becher has joined the company as customer service and sales and marketing support representative. Becher will focus on building marketing relationships with animal health distributors. She was previously with DAY 1 Technology LLC.

Dale Miller has joined the company as regional sales and marketing manager for the Northeast U.S. and Canada. Miller will build relationships with distributors, veterinarians and producers. He was previously with AgriLabs.

Matt Scoville has joined the company as regional sales and marketing manager for California, Arizona and Nevada. Scoville will establish and build relationships with animal health distributors, veterinarians, calf raisers, dairy farmers and cow/calf operators. He was previously with Veterinary Service Inc.

 

COBB-VANTRESS INC., Siloam Springs, Ark. — Randy Kivett has joined the North American Technical Service Team. Kivett will provide broiler technical support to customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central America regions. He was previously with Townsends and Pilgrim's Pride.

Ronnie Love has been named to the North American Technical Service Team. Love will provide technical support to customers in the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. He most recently was hatchery manager at the Wadesboro, N.C., facility.

Charles Swain has been named sales manager for the Southwest U.S. on the North American sales team. Swain was most recently technical service manager for the mid-southern U.S.

 

HAMLET PROTEIN INC., Horsens, Denmark — Bryan Horn has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) region. Horn will be responsible for developing sales and customer service in the NAFTA region and for supporting strategic goals in the high-quality soy protein market within young animal nutrition. He was previously with Novus International Inc.

 

INTERNATIONAL DAIRY FOODS ASSN., Washington, D.C. — Cary Frye has been named senior vice president of regulatory affairs. Frye will be responsible for managing the regulatory team covering the areas of food safety, food defense, federal standards of identity, labeling, international Codex Alimentarius standards, nutrition policy and environmental and worker safety.

 

PAULSEN, Sioux Falls, S.D. — Breanne Rentschler has joined the agency as account coordinator. Rentschler will be responsible for daily account management that includes working with clients and staff across all disciplines. She was previously with Revival Animal Health.

 

SANDERSON FARMS INC., Laurel, Miss. — Casey Butts has been promoted to corporate processing manager. Butts will provide leadership in the management and administration of the company's 11 processing divisions and one further-processing facility. He will provide consultation and direction to plant management at the McComb, Miss., and Moultrie, Ga., processing facilities to achieve established operational and corporate objectives. He was most recently division manager for the Moultrie processing facility.

 

NEWSTAR SOURCING & SERVICE, Omaha, Neb. — Stuart Gebauer has joined the company as territory sales manager for the Southwest region. Gebauer was previously with Agfinity Inc.

Kyle Van Vugt has joined the company as territory sales manager for northwestern Iowa and southwestern Minnesota. Van Vugt was previously with Hog Slat.

Jackson will support the regulatory needs of customers in strategic markets of dietary supplements, food ingredients, feed and agriculture and will provide information and support for the line of enzymes and probiotics. PATTERSON COMPANIES, Greeley, Colo. — Kevin Pohlman has been named president of Patterson Animal Health. Pohlman was most recently vice president of sales and marketing.

 

PELICAN PRODUCTS INC., Torrance, Cal. — Scott Ermeti has been promoted to president of international business. Ermeti will be responsible for profit and loss for the entire international business, including sales, marketing, manufacturing and distribution. He was most recently senior vice president of international business.

 

FILAMENT, Madison, Wis. — Julie Larson has joined the firm as client business lead and vice president. Larson will work with the executive team to assist with business development, in addition to strategic oversight of marketing communication plans and initiatives. She was previously with Merial.

 

THE ANDERSONS INC., Maumee, Ohio — Srikanth Dasari has been named vice president and treasurer. Dasari will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of key finance functions, including treasury, tax, investor relations and financial risk, such as foreign exchange and credit. He also will support railcar leasing and ethanol risk management. He was previously with Westinghouse Electric Co.

 

ZINPRO CORP., Eden Prairie, Minn. — Togo Odashima has joined the company as sales manager — Japan. Odashima will provide customers with animal nutrition support and cultivate new business opportunities for Performance Minerals in Japan, including the management of major account activities, with a focus on the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions.

 

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, Ames, Iowa — Evan Sivesind has joined the department of entomology to manage the Iowa Pest Resistance Management Plan. Sivesind will coordinate day-to-day activities of the statewide effort to help Iowa farmers address pest resistance in their fields. He was previously with the Olympic Peninsula’s invasive plant management program in Washington.
