And Orion and Max share a report about the recent honorary degree granted to Jon Kinzenbaw including his comments made to new Iowa State University graduates.

Orion Samuelson profiles Castle High School FFA, Newburgh, Ind. The 30 member group was chartered in 2001. The group has a community garden that sends its produce to a local food bank. Member Haley Beard talks about her SAE project in that garden. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson takes on a hot topic – food waste. He offers insight into this growing issue for farmers and consumers. Ag Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the week ahead, including his four-week outlook.

Segment 7

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong wrap up this week's show with a report from Chad Colby who talks with Joann Wright, a mom of five children, who is hard at work on the farm with her husband, Todd. On this Mother's Day weekend, she shares her thoughts on the value of raising her children on the farm.
