USTR nominee cleared for full Senate vote

Robert Lighthizer nomination to serve as lead trade negotiator voted unanimously out of Senate Finance Committee.

Tuesday morning the Senate Finance Committee unanimously advanced the nomination of Robert Lighthizer to serve as the United States Trade Representative (USTR).  The news is welcome news for those interested in trade as Lighthizer will be at the table when trade discussions move forward.
