As the aftermath of the Brazilian meat scandal continues to unfold, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) said it plans to take additional steps to keep U.S. consumers safe. USDA said to its knowledge, no tainted meat has entered the U.S., but additional inspections and testing will be implemented to ensure food safety.
