USDA’s realignment receives feedback

Moving CODEX office gaining attention from FDA, while Secretary Perdue defends the move.

Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue's reorganization and realignment plan for the U.S. Department of Agriculture has garnered praise as well as concerns. Realigning the U.S. Codex Alimentarius Office from USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) to the Office of the Undersecretary for Trade & Foreign Agricultural Affairs has received the greatest feedback.
