Trade policy focus of Trump bipartisan meeting

Bipartisan leaders of Senate Finance and House Ways & Means committees discuss modernization of NAFTA and how to advance trade priorities.

President Donald Trump met Thursday with leaders of the Senate Finance Committee and House Ways & Means Committee regarding the Administration’s interest in modernizing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Canada and Mexico and advancing a strong bilateral trade agenda on behalf of the American people.

This meeting was an opportunity for the President to meet with the chairmen and ranking members of both committees to help chart the future of U.S. trade
