Organic checkoff gets final push

USDA seeks comments on nationwide organic checkoff program.

In one of the final actions by the Obama Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday that it is seeking public comments to a proposal for a nationwide research and promotion checkoff program for the organic industry.
