Manna Pro expands equine, canine business with Corta-Flx

Manna Pro Products LLC, a Missouri-based manufacturer and marketer of animal nutrition and care products, has acquired Corta-Flx Inc., a global supplier of equine and canine health supplements.

Founded more than 20 years ago and headquartered in Aiken, S.C., Corta-Flx manufactures and distributes equine joint supplements that are used predominantly to improve mobility for competition horses, such as racetrack, barrel racing and jumping horses. Corta-Flx also offers ulcer management products and poultice products for the equine industry and joint supplements to improve canine health and mobility.

“Leading trainers, competitors and owners know and respect Corta-Flx products,” Manna Pro vice president of marketing Beth Rogers said. “This acquisition greatly complements Manna Pro’s product offerings, as we are able to add a brand new category with ulcer management products and enhance our joint supplement offerings.”

“I am excited about the great opportunities that lie ahead for both of our companies and for our customers,” Corta-Flx founder Bruce Snipes said. “Thanks to Manna Pro’s extensive distribution network, more equine and canine owners will discover the effectiveness of our unique formulations that improve their animals’ health and performance.”

Manna Pro Products produces high-quality animal nutrition and care products for a broad range of animals. Its largest group of products is associated with horses, but the company also produces feed for backyard poultry and goats, rabbits, cattle, pigs and companion animals. Manna Pro’s product lines primarily serve the “lifestyle farmer” market — people who own acreage with farm animals and operate their farms as a hobby rather than as a business.
