Livestock industry lays out farm bill priorities

House Agriculture Committee hearing features testimony on GIPSA, FMD vaccine bank, COOL and HPAI vaccine use.

The House Agriculture Committee held another round of farm bill hearings Tuesday afternoon, with the latest installment focusing on top livestock industry's policy concerns. The testimony featured individuals from the beef, sheep, turkey and hog industries; a common theme was the need to establish a foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine bank and opposition to the “GIPSA” rule that was finalized at the end of the Obama Administration.
