House of Raeford plans to rebuild plant following massive fire

Wallace Plant in North Carolina closed until further notice.

More than 20 fire departments and several local agencies fought a massive fire over the weekend at a House of Raeford Farms processing plant in Teachey, N.C., known as the "Wallace Plant.” Fortunately, the plant was not in operation at the time. Three first responders were injured but have since been released from the hospital.

The plant remains closed until further notice, but the company said it plans to rebuild.
