Dow-DuPont merger receives conditional approval from EU

DuPont to divest large portion of global pesticide business assets, including global R&D organization.

The European Commission announced March 27 the approval of a $130 billion proposed merger between U.S.-based chemical companies DuPont and The Dow Chemical Co. However, the approval will require divestiture of a large portion of DuPont's global pesticide business assets, including its global research and development organization.
