Danone announced this week it has found a buyer for its U.S. subsidiary Stonyfield, which was part of an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice in order to achieve antitrust approval of its recently closed merger with WhiteWave. The closing of the divestiture is subject to customary conditions, including final approval by the DOJ, and is expected in the third quarter of this year.
According to the announcement, Danone said French company Lactalis is purchasing Stonyfield for $8
