Cooperative Farmers to construct new mash/pellet feed mill

New mill will keep pace with growing livestock market and provide ractopamine-free feed production process.

In response to the twin factors of a rapidly growing livestock industry in northwestern Iowa and increased milling capacity needs, Cooperative Farmers Elevator (CFE) will begin construction on a new feed mill in Ocheyedan, Iowa, next spring.

“This new mill will help us capitalize on two unique opportunities and effectively position CFE and our farmer-owners for the future,” CFE chief executive officer Rob Jacobs said.
