Compeer Financial breaks ground on new office in Minnesota

Compeer Financial announced that it will move to a new office location in Lakeville, Minn., to better serve its clients. The building will house client services as well as corporate support departments.

Construction of the 30,000 sq. ft., two-story building began in late June with site preparation. The office is expected to be completed in March 2019.

A training center will be devoted to furthering team member knowledge and expertise so they can continue to serve clients as the industry evolves.

The Lakeville office will house 85 team members currently working in Compeer's Northfield and Apple Valley, Minn., offices, with space available for up to 100.

The plans to combine two offices into the new site reflects the company's commitment to convenience for clients while supporting effective and efficient operations, as the Lakeville location is more centrally located for clients and also is situated to better accommodate the business functions that currently take place in Apple Valley, the announcement explained.

Edward Farr Architects Inc. of Eden Prairie, Minn., designed the new building, while RJ Ryan of Mendota Heights, Minn., is handling construction.

Compeer Financial is the third-largest cooperative of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of lending institutions supporting agriculture and rural communities with credit and financial services. The $19.5 billion organization provides loans, leases, risk management and other financial services throughout 144 counties in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
