After winning both U.S. and European Union approval last week for its $43 billion acquisition of Syngenta, China National Chemical Corp. (ChemChina) has continued to check approvals by global governments off the list.
The companies announced this week that they have received approval from both the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica in Mexico (COFECE) and the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) for ChemChina's proposed acquisition of Syngenta.
