Aviagen announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art genomics laboratory in Scotland as well as a modern veterinary diagnostic laboratory in Tennessee.
The new genomics laboratory is equipped to process more than 1 million DNA samples and genotypes yearly for both chicken and turkey lines. This volume represents an unprecedented scale in genomics throughput not only in poultry but also across livestock species, the company said.
