Ag industry welcomes Pruitt nomination

Farmers see EPA as source of many regulatory woes and hope Scott Pruitt will make needed changes.

On Friday afternoon, the Senate approved the nomination of Scott Pruitt to be the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. The Senate voted 52-46 to approve Pruitt.

Pruitt has a long career serving the people of Oklahoma, most recently as the state's attorney general. He was also elected to the Oklahoma Senate from 1998 until 2006.

The agriculture industry was supportive of his nomination as farmers have seen the agency as the source of many of the industry's regu
