ADM Animal Nutrition debuts new high-concentrate protein

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), announced the launch of a new quality protein source for aquaculture and swine diets, PROPLEX T.

Composed of dried fermentation biomass, PROPLEX T provides a consistent source of digestible protein and high levels of essential amino acids for aquaculture and swine diets, according to the announcement. PROPLEX T has been shown to be a successful replacement for other protein sources, such as fish meal, in diets for fish and shrimp, and when used in swine nursery diets during the starter phase, ADM said.

“PROPLEX T is a cost-effective protein source that can be used in place of expensive or variable protein products,” said Dr. John Bowzer, aquaculture research scientist for ADM. “Additionally, PROPLEX T provides feed manufacturers with added flexibility in formulations due to its high protein content and favorable amino acid profile.”
