LIVESTOCK MARKETS: U.S. pork exports show impressive progress

Annual per capita supply of red meat, fish and poultry has fallen over last seven years.

U.S. pork exports at the end of 2016 showed impressive progress following a challenging 2015. During 2016, the U.S. exported 5.1 billion lb. of pork and pork variety meats valued at $5.94 billion, up 8% and 7%, respectively, from 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
