Cattle, hog markets trying to settle for fall time frame

Hog markets trying to find a low.

The livestock markets are trying to settle out for the fall, according to David Williams, director of the Agribusiness Intelligence Protein Group at Informa IEG.

Cattle are starting to rally a little bit, with October futures headed back to $113/cwt., he said, adding that cash could trade at $110-111/cwt. in the coming weeks as well. “We’ve been a little bit more bullish on the cattle side,” Williams said.
