Brazil expects beef exports to U.S. to reopen within 60 days

Secretary of Agriculture Perdue says no timeline has been set.

Brazil’s Agriculture Minister Blairo Maggi said it would be possible to reopen the U.S. market to fresh Brazilian beef in 30-60 days after meeting with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue this week in Washington, D.C., but Perdue said in a tweet following the meeting that the U.S. needs to see more progress from the country.
